Helen Davies
Head of Innovation, Triongl.

Helen Davies is a creative technology and R&D specialist working at the intersection of screen production, research and innovation. As Head of Innovation at Welsh production company Triongl, she leads the development of Sgript, a pioneering platform using human-centred design, responsible AI and emerging technology to rethink how film and television are produced.
With over 15 years’ experience spanning academia and the creative industries, Helen combines deep research expertise with hands-on production experience. She holds a PhD in Film and Television Studies from Aberystwyth University and has led numerous collaborative R&D projects bringing together creative businesses, academics and technology partners.
Her work focuses on UX, inclusive design, audience research and digital innovation, with a particular interest in using technology to solve real-world challenges for creative teams and audiences. Her previous projects include the UKRI-funded The Big Fix Up with Fictioneers, the University of South Wales and Aardman, and a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Boom Cymru and Aberystwyth University exploring young audience engagement with Welsh-language media.
At Triongl, Helen is passionate about using technology and evidence-led innovation to address real-world challenges within the creative industries. Her work focuses on ensuring that emerging technologies are human-centred, practical and meaningful, with innovation supporting the people who work within the sector as much as the systems in which they operate.

William Todd-Jones
Founder Director, Wild Connect.

William “Todd” Todd-Jones is a Founder Director of Wild Connect, where he helps bring together nature technology, storytelling and public engagement. Across four decades in film, television and theatre, Todd has worked as a creature designer, performer, director, movement consultant, digital performance artist and writer, with credits including Labyrinth, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Batman, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Little Shop of Horrors, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and His Dark Materials, where he was Head of Creature Effects and Master Puppeteer.
Todd’s conservation work has run alongside his screen career for many years. He is closely associated with Save the Rhino International - for whom he’s run marathons & walked from sea level to the highest point of Africa dressed as a rhino. He has used performance, creature work and public storytelling to support wildlife engagement and fundraising. Through Wild Connect, he is now helping develop NIST — the Nature Impact Surveying Toolkit — combining bioacoustic monitoring, AI-supported analysis, ecological verification and “Nature Story” to help productions and other organisations understand, evidence and communicate their impact on the natural world.

Toby Cameron
Senior Producer & Founder, On Par Productions

Toby Cameron is the founder and senior producer of On Par Productions, a multi-BAFTA Cymru-winning company he has run from Wales for sixteen years. Starting in commercials, On Par now also produces factual television for the BBC and S4C, alongside BFI Network-funded short films. Toby is currently producing his first feature, a fiction film set in Japan, made as a Wales–Japan co-production with Ffilm Cymru funding. On Par have run severalR&D projects supported by Innovate UK, Media Cymru and Welsh Government with a focus on audience viewing habits and sustaoable filmmaking.
A former RTS Cymru Breakthrough Award winner and Doc Society Future Producer alumnus, Toby is now focused on building international co-productions across factual television, feature documentary, and feature film.

Shirish Kulkarni

Roderick Beer

Rhodri Talfan Davies
Deputy Director-General, BBC.
Talk in involved in:
Rhodri Talfan Davies was appointed Deputy Director-General in June 2026. He served as Interim Director-General from April to May 2026.
Prior to that, Rhodri joined the BBC Executive Committee in 2021 following his appointment as Director of Nations. In this role he led the BBC’s work serving nations and local audiences across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as leading the BBC’s Across the UK strategy to decentralise the organisation across the country.
Alongside his role as Director of Nations, Rhodri has led the BBC’s response to Generative AI – overseeing a range of technical and editorial pilots across news, sport and local services, and introducing new editorial policies and standards to manage the adoption of this new wave of technology.
Rhodri was Director of BBC Cymru Wales between 2011 and 2020, where he led the opening of the BBC’s new production centre at Central Square in Cardiff in 2020 and oversaw a transformation in drama production set in Wales.
In June 2025, Rhodri was appointed Chair of BBC Media Action – the BBC’s international development charity which operates in more than 30 countries.

Rhiannon White

Rhiannon White is co-founder and Co-Artistic Director of Common Wealth, an award-winning political, site-specific theatre company based in Cardiff and Bradford. Raised on the St Mellons estate, she leads the company's Welsh programme, creating work with the people most affected by injustice. Known for pioneering high-impact political theatre embedded in working-class communities, her socially-engaged practice has staged ambitious productions in boxing gyms, houses, and warehouses. Recent work includes Demand the Impossible, on the UK's Spycops scandal, and I Have Met the Enemy (and the Enemy is Us), on UK complicity with the arms trade. Rhiannon is a Clore Fellow, Creative Wales Award recipient, and co-author of Do It Yourself: Making Political Theatre, and has written on class inequality in the arts.

Peter Effenberg

Peter Effenberg is co-founder and Managing Director of MediaTech Hub Potsdam (MTH Potsdam), the only national Digital Hub for media technologies in Germany and the official startup center of the state of Brandenburg. He began his career in film production: for more than 25 years, he worked as a production manager and line producer for feature films and TV productions, overseeing more than 250 productions. At the same time, his focus increasingly shifted toward the intersection of media and technology, and since 2015 he has been working intensively on digital workflows, metadata, and new business models. In 2013, he founded an international conference on media technology in Babelsberg, which he has placed under the auspices of the MediaTech Hub Potsdam since 2021. Today, the MediaTech Hub Conference (#MTHCON) is Germany’s leading conference for media technologies, with an international focus.
His vision as Managing Director of MTH Potsdam is to support Babelsberg as an international hotspot for MediaTech — a place where creative excellence meets technological innovation. Peter Effenberg sees his role as creating new opportunities at the intersection of startups, established companies, and academia, accelerating innovation, and shaping the framework for the media industry of tomorrow — right in the midst of its greatest transformation.

Osian Davies

Mo Jannah

Mo Jannah is a BAFTA-nominated presenter, producer, and creative entrepreneur whose career bridges broadcast television, wellbeing, and immersive arts. As one of the mediation experts and on-screen talent featured in Wild Reckoning, a new 16-part series co-commissioned by BBC Daytime and BBC Cymru Wales and fronted by Bear Grylls.
Mo’s career path is as unconventional as it is inspiring. A working-class man from South Wales, he began his professional life supporting offenders in prisons across the region, developing groundbreaking interventions later adopted by the national serious crime unit to help divert young people from criminal pathways. His empathy-driven approach and communication skills became the foundation for his later success in television and media.
His breakthrough came in 2017 through the It’s My Shout talent scheme, where his self-titled observational documentary Mo’s World aired on BBC Two. This launch marked the beginning of a varied and dynamic career that includes presenting and producing across BBC factual and daytime programmes. Widely recognised as an “ideas man,” Mo’s storytelling instincts and extensive cross-sector network have helped develop and shape several successful broadcast formats, amplifying underrepresented voices and fresh perspectives across national and regional television.

Geraint Evans

Ciron Gruffydd
